Since 1963
The second location,
not the second choice.
Merrett’s opened in Steelton in 1954. This pharmacy followed nine years later, and the two have been run together ever since — same owners, same blister-packing machine, same free delivery, same people answering the phone.
What is different is where it sits. If you are already at the Group Health Centre for an appointment, your prescription can be filled before you have finished parking. And if you are not, it is still your pharmacy.

Everything the Wellington Street store does.
Nothing on this list is exclusive to one location.
-
Blister packs
Sealed in order, checked by a pharmacist, delivered free before the last pack runs out. How the packs work.
-
Vaccines
Flu, COVID, shingles, travel. Book a time here rather than waiting. Book at Group Health Centre.
-
Pharmacist prescribing
For a list of common ailments our pharmacists can assess and prescribe without a doctor. What we can treat.
Who is behind the counter
The same two faces.
Martin and Liz are here. You are not routed to a call centre and you are not explaining your history again every visit.

Looking for the clinic?
The Access Care Clinic at the Group Health Centre is run by the Centre, not by us, and it is referral only. We cannot book you in, but we can tell you what a pharmacist is allowed to treat without one.
