Home / Pharmacist prescribing
For twenty things,
you do not need
a doctor.
Ontario pharmacists can assess and prescribe for a list of common conditions.
Three ways to be seen
- Book a slot and skip the dispensary queue
- Phone ahead and we will tell you when to come
- Walk in when a pharmacist is free
Find yours
- Acne
- Canker sores
- Cold sores
- Diaper rash
- Eczema & skin rashes
- Heartburn
- Hemorrhoids

Not on the list? A pharmacist will still tell you where to go next, which is usually faster than finding out at emergency.
How the appointment goes.
Fifteen minutes, in a private room, at either pharmacy.
-
You describe it
A pharmacist takes your history and asks about anything else you take.
-
They assess
If it is on the list and it is straightforward, they can treat it there.
-
You leave with it
The prescription is filled at the same counter. Nothing to take anywhere.
Book an assessment
Either pharmacy, whichever is closer.
Walk-ins are welcome when a pharmacist is free, but booking a slot means you will not be waiting behind the dispensary queue.
